Dr. Raul de Velasco
A significant number of the uninsured poor Open Door Health Center treats are working poor citizens who have sacrificed their health for years in order to be more productive and better providers for their families. Improperly treated diabetes, Arterial Hypertension and other chronic medical conditions are unfortunately diagnosed already showing kidney complications. Dr. de Velasco has been a lifesaver for hundreds of these patients who would have otherwise never received much needed nephrology services. Dr. de Velasco evaluates the patients with renal conditions at Open Door Health Center and works closely with the clinic staff to ensure these patients get access to the services they need and remain healthy and productive. Dr. de Velasco is a great asset to our team and we are very happy to have him. Return to Special Volunteer
